We welcome people in Northwest Colorado of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds into our spiritual family.
At Saint John’s, we strive to be warm and welcoming to everyone that walks through our doors - whether you are an Orthodox Christian, visiting from another Christian church or other faith, or just interested in learning more about Orthodoxy.
Sunday Fellowship
After services every Sunday, all are invited to our coffee hour and refreshments downstairs, which usually includes a short interactive catechism class led by Father David.
Monthly Luncheons
On the first Sunday of each month, we have a Potluck Luncheon where parishioners share their culinary skills as we gather as a community to break bread and enjoy fellowship. No need to bring a dish - all are welcome! On the first Sunday, we also celebrate Name Days, birthdays, and anniversaries.
Paschal Feast
In celebration of the Feast of the Ressurrection, we hold a Paschal Feast every year on Easter Sunday following the Agape Service. The feast includes roasted lamb, Greek roasted potatoes, fantastic side dishes and way too many desserts. Children enjoy an Easter Egg hunt on the lawn while everyone enjoys an afternoon of fellowship and fun.
New Years Eve Celebration
Saint John’s legendary New Year’s Eve Party dates back many decades and provides an excellent opportunity for parishioners and friends of all ages to gather together, eat, dance, and ring in the new year in a safe, family-environment.
